Bi-Level Therapy

SOMNOvent S is a Bi-level sleep apnea therapy device. By providing lower exhalation pressure that’s independent of inhalation pressure, the device permits the patient to breathe freely. For additional security, so-called background frequency takes into consideration. If central apnea is present, the device automatically takes over the patient’s triggering of the system. Other features include unique noise suppression and improved pressure constancy of therapy settings determined in the sleep lab. SOMNOvent S guarantees the patient restful sleeping comfort at every pressure level and allows the patient’s partner a peaceful night’s sleep. Operation of the device has been made intentionally simple. For example, the hose system can be connected in one easy step. SOMNOvent S is also equipped with a autostart that activates the device through the patient’s light breathing, an integrated therapy calendar, a double filter system with fine and coarse filter and an actual pressure display. If required, the newly developed heated humidifier SOMNOclick can be attached to the front of the device without extra hoses or power cables. Regulation of humidity and power supply are handled by the therapy device in use. Especially convenient for the traveling sleep apnea patient is the device’s ability to recognize the available power source and its flat design that allows it to fit discreetly into any briefcase.
